Feng-E Technology Establishes Unattended Retail Intelligence Lab Led by Globally Renowned Professors and PhDs

Feng-E Technology has officially established its Unattended Retail Intelligence Lab, headed by Partner and CIO Dr. Zhu Tao. Dr. Zhu Tao possesses extensive experience in data science and algorithm R&D within the retail and e-commerce sectors. He holds multiple patents in machine learning and algorithms, covering areas such as personalized product recommendations, marketing campaign optimization, and search engine advertising bidding. Having previously led the data science department of a globally renowned corporation, Dr. Zhu Tao joined Feng-E Technology in January 2022.

The Intelligence Lab has appointed Professor Chen Xin from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) as a lead scholar to conduct research on intelligent algorithms and big data applications in unattended retail. The research will focus on utilizing algorithms to optimize Smart Market location selection models, restocking strategies, product assortments, route planning, and dynamic pricing.

Professor Chen Xin is a pioneering international scholar in the field of Operations Research, a tenured professor at UIUC, and a Changjiang Scholar. His deep collaboration with Feng-E Technology began in 2018. Now, as a corporate academic advisor, he will lead the entire research team to accelerate the R&D and application of unattended retail algorithms. The core team also includes several professors and PhD researchers from prestigious universities in China and the United States, alongside a group of elite algorithm engineers.
